With households and agricultural enterprises eligible to install up to 10.8 kW solar capacities and battery storage of up to 10.8 kWh, the country is poised for a surge in renewable energy adoption.

Australia is a global leader in the battery energy storage market, with over 40GW of installed capacity. By H1 2023, residential energy storage installations reached 0.47GWh, projected to grow to 0.7GWh annually. Victoria leads in residential installations, accounting for 30% of the market, predominantly in the eastern region.
